During the second half of 2018, Mazur Ivanusa, LLC have successfully assisted foreign and local investors in establishing more than 30 Ukrainian companies.\u00a0 Some of these projects involved drafting and negotiating complex shareholder agreements, providing advice on the composition of the companies\u2019 corporate governing bodies and the procedures for their operation, specifics of the formation of the charter capital, Ukrainian taxation issues as well as employment of foreign employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, Mazur Ivanusa, LLC actively advised large foreign and domestic companies on various tax matters, provided complex tax and corporate structuring for foreign investors establishing their businesses in Ukraine, including in the form of commercial representative offices, performed several tax and legal due diligence reviews, including vendor, and advised on the resolution of the ongoing tax disputes. For example, we advised Block A.S., a Czech provider of clean room solutions, and EPI Limited (UK), a geological surveyor, on the Ukrainian tax matters related to a permanent establishment and the application of relevant double tax treaties. We successfully represented Blumenbeker in a complex litigation related to a tax audit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, in the second half of 2018, Mazur Ivanusa, LLC assisted both private and corporate clients, including investors and developers, on 4 large real estate projects in Ukraine. Our assignment included carrying out limited due diligence reviews of the available assets and assisting with the acquisitions of several commercial real estate objects in the Kyiv and Odessa regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
